Electromechanical properties of calcium bismuth niobate (CaBi2Nb2O9) ceramics at elevated temperature
The dielectric. piezoelectric, and electromechanical properties of the (NaCe)-substituted Calcium bismuth niobate (CaBi2Nb2O9, CBN) were investigated The piezoelectric activities of CBN ceramics were significantly enhanced by (NaCe) co-substitution. The dielectric and electromechanical properties of CBN ceramics at elevated temperature were studied in detail. Compared to the pure CBN ceramics, the substituted CBN ceramics possess a broadened peak The nearly temperature independent dielectric and electromechanical behavior, coupled with ultrahigh Curie temperature (T-c similar to 900 degrees C), make CBN ceramics promising for high-temperature applications.
