A combination of GPC, DSC, and C-13 NMR data for an ethylene/1-hexene copolymer prepared with the V(acac)(3) - Ali-Bu2Cl system at 5 degrees C shows that this catalyst system was one of the earliest pre-metallocene catalysts for olefin polymerization.
