A Comprehensive Model for the Adsorption of Supercritical Hydrogen on Activated Carbon
Utilizing Henry’s law constants as a scaling factor, a unique comprehensive adsorption curve was constructed for the experimental adsorption data of hydrogen on activated carbon over the temperature range of 77-298 K. This representation of the supercritical adsorption data is independent of temperature and can generate a reasonable value for saturated adsorption; therefore, it succeeded in avoiding the trouble of defining a fictitious quantity in applying the Dubinin-Astakhov equation under supercritical condition. A Freundlich-type equation and an exponential equation were proposed to model the comprehensive adsorption curve.
