Reply to comments of Endo and Goss concerning "development of correlations for describing solute transfer into acyclic alcohol solvents based on the Abraham model and fragment-specific equation coefficients"
The fragmentation model proposed by Sprunger et al. [Fluid Phase Equilib. 288 (2009) 139-144] has been extended to include the partition of solutes into acyclic alcohol, ether, ester and alkoxyalcohol solvents in response to the comments of Endo and Goss concerning the model's large number of fragmentation groups. The model was found to provide a reasonably accurate mathematical description of the experimental gas-to-organic solvent partition coefficient data for the acyclic alcohol, ether and ester solvents considered.
