Novel Coordination Pattern of Dithiophosphorus Ligands - Crystal and Molecular-Structure of (Diphenylphosphinodithioato)Phenyltellurium(II), Phtes2Pph2 - Supramolecular Association Through Monodentate Biconnective Dithiophosphorus Ligands
A novel coordination mode for a dithiophosphorus ligand is found in the structure of (diphenylphosphinodithioato)phenyltellurium(II), PhTeS2PPh2. It consists of monomeric units self-assembled into a supramolecular chain through secondary Te...S interactions (3.3383 angstrom). The dithio ligand acts as a monodentate biconnective bridge, and is bonded through only one of its sulfur atoms to two tellurium atoms. This coordination pattern has not been observed before in any metal compound containing dithiophosphorus ligands.
