Solid <-> liquid Cd(Zn)Te phase transition correlative analysis
The correlative analysis between the pre-exponential factor (A) and the activation energy (E-a) as kinetic characteristics of cadmium telluride melting and crystallization process of both pure and doped (by Ge, In, Sn, Sb and ZnTe up to 10 mol%) is carried out. A linear dependence between the pre-exponential factor and the activation energy involved is revealed from experimental data of the melts' viscosity temperature dependencies, velocity of CdTe phase crystallization as well as from electrical conductivity temperature dependencies. Identity of an angular coefficient a in the obtained experimental dependences In A=a(E-a)-b for all considered processes is interpreted as evidence of interrelation between the enthalpy and entropy of the melting and crystallization processes.
