A Novel Honeycomb-Like Copper(II) Phosphate Framework, (Bacl)(Cupo4)
Copper(II) phosphates exhibit attractive and unusual frameworks rarely seen in early transition metal phosphates. A wave-like [CuP2O7]infinity ribbon, made of CuO4 and P2O7 units, has been recognized earlier in the Na2CuP2O7 structure. The title compound shows a novel honeycomb-like lattice consisting of a low-dimensional [CuPO4]infinity spiral structure that is constructed of CuO4 and PO4 units. [GRAPHICS] CS]
