An Organometal Hydroxide Route to (((C8H12)Rh)(2)(Ti(Oprn)(6)))
The 1,5-cyclooctadiene complex {[(C8H12)Rh(OH)](2)} reacts with 1 equiv of Ti(OPrn)(4) to form {[(C8H12)Rh(OPrn)]2}. When excess Ti(OPrn)(4) is employed, the Ti(OPrn)(4) adduct {[(C8H12)Rh](2)[Ti(OPrn)(6)]} is formed. The title complex is unstable in solution, dissociating into ([(C8H12)Rh(OPrn)](2)) and Ti(OPrn)(4).
