Synthesis and Structure of a Hydride-Bridged and Sulfide-Bridged Tetranuclear Ruthenium(II,III) Cluster Complex
The sulfide- and hydride-bridged mixed-valent Ru(II,III) complex [Ru-4(P(OMe)(3))(8)(mu(2)-H)(2)(mu(2)-S)(2)(mu(4)-S)(2)] has been synthesized from the reduction of [{Ru(AN)-(P(OMe)(3))(2)}(2)(mu-Cl)(2)(mu-S-2)](CF3SO3)(2) (AN is CH3CN) with Mg powder in methanol, and the crystal structure has been solved with single-crystal X-ray diffraction technique.
