Synthesis and Structure of a Magnesium-Hydroxide Complex Supported by Tris(Pyrazolyl)Hydroborato Ligation, ((Tp(Ar,Me))Mgc(Mu-Oh))(2) (Ar=p-Bu(T)C(6)H(4))
A well-defined magnesium hydroxide complex has been synthesized by using a tris- (pyrazolyl)hydroborato ligand with p-tert-butylphenyl substituents. Specifically, the dinuclear complex {[Tp(Ar,Me)]Mg(mu-OH)}(2) (Ar = p-Bu(t)C(6)H(4)) is prepared by the reaction of the magnesium alkyl derivative [Tp(Ar,Me)]MgMe with H2O.
