DeNOx catalytic activity over Pt/Al2O3 prepared by solvothermal method
Two types of Pt/Al2O3 catalysts were prepared by individual solvothermal and conventional impregnation methods, and the deNOx activity using hydrogen as a reducer was tested under oxygen coexistence condition. The Pt/Al2O3 catalyst prepared by the solvothermal method provided higher N-2 selectivity than that by the impregnation one. The characterization based on XRD and TEM revealed that the Pt metal particles well grew on the Al2O3 support when using the solvothermal method. Temperature programmed hydrogen desorption (H-2-TPD) showed that the Pt/Al2O3 catalyst prepared by the solvothermal method adsorbed hydrogen more strongly than that by the impregnation one, which corresponded to the high hydrogenation ability toward NOx.
