Direct Electrical Measurement of Protein-Water Interactions and Temperature Dependence Using Piezoelectric Microcantilevers
A platform that provides a fundamental tool to understand protein behavior by a simple real-time electrical readout is demonstrated. Observing the temperature dependence of protein activity as well as the humidity-sensitive protein activity of a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) monoclonal antibody receptor (MAbs), as well as PSA MAbs receptor complexes, provides a stability curve for the protein and a humidity dependence of their activity.
