Dynamic Topographical Control of Mesenchymal Stem Cells by Culture on Responsive Poly(epsilon-caprolactone) Surfaces
Poly(epsilon-caprolactone) (PCL) shape-memory polymer (SMP) microarrays are a novel means to investigate the effect of dynamic topography on human mesenchymal stem cell (hMSC) morphology. The synthesis and characterization of oligo-precursors and PCL networks is described. The PCL surfaces demonstrate excellent surface shape-memory properties, minimal cytotoxicity, and excellent control over hMSC morphology.
