NaZr6Cl10.94I3.06B : A second structure type in the Zr(6)X(14)Z-family of reduced zirconium halides. Perspectives for an even larger cluster chemistry
The mixed-halide cluster phase NaZr6Cl10.94I3.06B is the first compound within the reduced zirconium halides which has a structure that seems to require two differently sized halide types. The three-dimensional connectivity of the Zr6X12B units (X = Cl, I) is achieved by exo iodide ions which all bridge three different cluster units simultaneously.
