A beam of atomic nitrogen ions N+ collided with the gas target of O-2 molecules at energies between 20 and 1000 eV in the laboratory frame. The O-2(+)(A-X) and O-2(+)(b-a) luminescence and several atomic lines of neutral and ionized oxygen were observed.
