Luminescence study of the N+ + O-2 collisions
A beam of atomic nitrogen ions N+ collided with the gas target of O-2 molecules at energies between 20 and 1000 eV in the laboratory frame. The O-2(+)(A-X) and O-2(+)(b-a) luminescence and several atomic lines of neutral and ionized oxygen were observed. The excitation function has been measured and the luminescence cross section and photon yield were estimated. (c) 2011 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
