Dielectric Properties of Water Chains Incorporated in Porous Coordination Polymer Crystal [Cu(C6H4NO2)(2)]
The dielectric constant (epsilon) of "water chains" incorporated in the channel of porous coordination polymer crystal [Cu(C6H4-NO2)(2)] was small at low temperatures (epsilon approximate to 10) but became as large as 250 at 370 K. These dielectric behaviors were consistent with the results of molecular dynamics simulation and indicated that a melting of hydrogen-bonded water chains occurred above 300 K.
