Structures of [AuSe2P(OR)(2)](2) (R = 'Pr, 1; Et, 2), the first homoleptic dinuclear gold(I) bridged by phosphorodiselenoates, are reported along with their intriguing photoluminescent properties, which display multiple emissions as well as thermochromism.
