Site-specific methylation of coordinated 1,2,4-triazoles: A novel route to sterically hindered Ru(bpy)(2) complexes
A site-specific methylation of 1,2,4-triazolate rings in ruthenium(II) complexes Using OMe3+BF4- is reported. Interestingly methylation takes place preferentially at the most sterically hindered nitrogen atom of the coordinated triazole ring.
