Reactivity of Pd(0) complexes with the phosphino ylide [Ph2PCH2Ph2=C(H)C(O)Me]. Molecular structure of [Pd(PPh2CHPPh2C(H)C(O)Me)(2)]
The reaction between Pd-2(dba)(3). CHCl3 with PPh2CH2PPh2=C(H)COMe results in the formation of Pd(PPh2-CHPPh2C(H)COMe)(2) (1) in good yield. This complex has been characterized by IR and H-1 and P-31{H-1} NMR spectroscopy and by X-ray diffraction methods. On the other hand, the reactin of Pd-2(dba)(3). CHCl3 with [PPh2-CH2PPh2CH2COMe]ClO4 yields [Pd(PPh2CH2PPh2C(H)-COMe)(2)](ClO4)(2) (2). The interconversion between 1 and 2 is described.
