The Riemann Representation for a Pi Feedback-Control Around a Delay Element
A solution is obtained for a distributed parameter system governed by a hyperbolic equation with specific initial and boundary conditions. Inlet signals are assumed to be delayed by one unit of time, whereas a PI controller in the feedback is assumed to act instantaneously when transmitting from output to the input. The results obtained contain those of earlier investigations as special cases.
