Rayleigh-Benard convection in a magnetic fluid in an annular Hele-Shaw cell
This paper deals with a theoretical and experimental investigation of Rayleigh-Benard convection in a magnetic fluid submitted simultaneously to a gradient of magnetic held and a gradient of temperature. With an annular Hele-Shaw cell configuration, we show the possibility to simulate Rayleigh-Benard experiments and its control by a gradient of magnetic field in the absence of gravity (g congruent to 0).
