A simple method for the measurement of crystals fluidization velocity in solutions is presented. The most widely used formulae for velocity of falling are verified for K2SO4 and NaBO3 crystals. The equations for hindered settling velocity are tested for K2SO4, NH4NO3, NaCl, NaBO3 and aspirin crystals. The voidage in the fluidized-bed crystallizer is considered.
