Studies on hydrodynamics of counter-current three-phase fluidization
Experimental studies of hydrodynamics in a TCA (turbulent contact absorber) type apparatus of 0.2 m in diameter are presented. Gas pressure drop, dynamic bed height and total liquid holdup have been measured. Volume fractions of the gas phase and packing elements in the bed have been computed basing on the experimental results. The results of measurements and of calculations of the hydrodynamic parameters of counter-current three-phase fluidization have been worked up in the form of correlational equations.
