Momentum transfer in a region of an agitated vessel wall
The results of the experimental studies of the momentum transfer in a region of an agitated vessel wall are presented in the paper. The measurements were carried out in the agitated vessel of inner diameter D = 0.3 m, using computer-aided electrochemical method. The distributions of the shear rate, shear stress, dynamic velocity and the friction coefficient on the vertical wall of the vessel were determined from the electrochemical experiments. The results of the measurements for different turbines have been presented graphically and described mathematically.
