The effect of shape, location and geometry of the draft tube on pumping capacity in the draft tube magma crystallizers has been analysed. Specific conditions of the mass crystallization from solution as well as kinetics of crystal growth, in the light of theoretical analysis and experimental results were taken into consideration. The optimum range of geometrical relations in which the maximum pumping capacity is achieved has been determined.
