Decoupling in multi-elements composite for transducer array application
A novel 3 phase (ceramic, epoxy resin and decoupling material) piezoelectric composite with multi-elements in parallel connection has been developed by using dice-fill technology. The acoustic coupling between elements in composite was investigated. The vibration velocities curves of active element and close elements were measured by using Scanning Laser Vibrometer (Polytec PSV-400). The results exhibited that the decoupling material induced in multi-elements composite has a good decoupling effect. Vibration attenuations between adjacent elements are larger than 23.8 dB at resonance frequency. (C) 2011 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
