The dead-end filtration process of Aspergillus niger mycelium suspension was investigated. The experiments were performed using a laboratory candle filter FUNDABAC TSD. The influence of the pressure, filtration cloth type, thermal treatment of the broth and the concentration of the filtration aid was ii determined and the compressibility coefficient of the mycelium cake was calculated.
