A theoretical analysis of the dynamics of a reactor-rheometer system was presented from the point of view of controlling the process by a rheometric method. Batch and continuous flow mixers were discussed as a simplified model of the reactor and then batch and continuous flow reactors were considered. The response of the system to an input signal in the form of the step and pulse function was analyzed.
