The rate of the formation of higher aliphatic alcohols from synthesis gas was simply described: r = kp(H2)(n) where n = 2 for methanol, n = 1,5 for higher alcohols, on the basis of the experiments conducted over a Cs-doped Cu-Zn composite catalyst.
