Cost analysis of optimum hybrid systems for membrane concentration and condensation of volatile organic compounds
For a hybrid system that includes a membrane module and a condenser optimisation calculations were carried out. These calculations enable the optimum values of permeate pressure and the membrane surface area to be evaluated for the given parameters of the gas at the inlet to the membrane installation. The solutions proposed for the system studied lead to a decrease in the total annual cost, the cost of solvent recovery and the consumption of electric power.
