The objective of the present study was to evaluate the parameters which characterise the pulsing flow of the gas and liquid through a bed, namely the frequency of the pulsation and the velocity of the liquid pulses travelling along the bed. These parameters were determined experimentally for water as well as for liquids differing from water in their physicochemical properties. The results of experiments were presented in the form of diagrams and appropriate correlating formulas.
