Contamination of ground water by landfill leachate is a worldwide problem, but in Poland it is becoming an acute one. Professor W Piatkiewicz of Euro-Sep sp. z.o.o, working with researchers from the Warsaw Agricultural University, Poland, have been assessing whether membranes are a viable treatment method. Their preliminary findings are presented below.
