제목 Template-Assisted Self-Assembly of Quantum Dots on Nanoporous Surface for Light Emitting Devices
초록 We demonstrate a unique method to localize spherical nano-features in large area using nanoporous templates. Cylinder-forming polystyrene-block-poly(2-vinyl pyridine) copolymer (S2VP) is spin-coated on ITO glass. To induce microphase separation, the thin films of block copolymers (BCPs) are solvent-annealed in vapor of organic solvents, so that hexagonally packed P2VP cylinders oriented normal to the surface form in S2VP thin films. In a selective solvent for P2VP blocks, the surface of BCP thin films is reconstructed and hexagonally packed nanopores are generated over the whole surface area. These nanopores were used for localizing a variety of spherical quantum dots (QDs) during a simple spin-coating process. Interestingly, it is found that their population in a pore with diameter can be precisely controlled by adjusting the concentrations or the size of QDs. In addition, the localized QDs array was used to fabricate high resolution light emitting devices based on nano-pixels.
