제목 Microwave Dielectric Properties of β -Wollastonite Glass-Ceramics for LTCC process
초록  For 5G telecommunication systems and devices, the dielectric materials with low dielectric constant, high quality factor(Qf) as well as low sintering temperature for LTCC process are required. α- and β-wollastonite are one of good candidate to meet these requirements if these materials could be applicable to LTCC process. Preparation of β-wollastonite by solid state reaction is difficult to have high density because of its narrow sintering windows and high porosity. It was reported β-wollastonite with Al2O3 additives shows dense structure, however the sintering temperature is too high for LTCC process. The α-wollastonite is high temperature phase of wollastonite and high sintering temperature of 1490℃ is required for high density. In this study, β-wollastonite glass-ceramics specimens were 2 step sintered at 730℃ for 3h and crystallized at 900℃ for 3h and β-wollastonite single phase was confirmed. β-Wollastonite glass- ceramics showed high Qf value close to the α-wollastonite, which requires high sintering temperature.  Because of high crystallinity derived from 2-step sintering, β-wollastonite glass-ceramics could have high dielctric properties and be applicable to LTCC materials.
