Na+-beta-alumina is one of the most ionic conductive ceramic materials and usually used as a solid electrolyte for NaS battery. Ionic conductivity of Na+-beta-aluminas is intimately related with its β"-Al2O3 phase fraction, density and microstructure. In this study, Na+-beta-aluminas, which have the molar ratio of [Na2O] : [Al2O3] = 1 : 4.5, were synthesized and densified at the same time during sintering process with different temperatures. Each specimen was characterized by XRD(x-ray diffraction), SEM(scanning electron microscope) and Impedance analyzer. |
