Nitric oxide(NO) gas is a radical gas involved in numerous physiological, pathological processes in the human body. It is produced endogenously from L-arginine by three Nitric Oxide Synthase (NOS) enzymes. There have been many studies for developing the exogenously NO-releasing platform. To take full advantages of the exogenously delivered NO gas, controlling the release profile is the most important. In this study, we introduced polypeptides based multilayer film as the NO-releasing platform for controlled release. Poly-l-lysine and poly-l-glutamic acid are used for constructing the multilayer films. Then, we synthesize an N-diazeniumdiolate which is proton-responsive NO donor into the multilayer film under the high-pressure reaction. We investigated the film growth profile and the surface morphology. We confirmed the NO donor formation with the films having different thickness. We conclude the release profiles with real-time NO analysis machine (NOA280i). |
