In this study, we synthesized ligands using naphthol or pyrazole groups and azo group. Metallization of ligands in Co and Cr provided four violet and red pigments for new color filter pigment. In naphthol derivatives, Co(HPANT)2 and Cr(HPANT)2 showed UV-visible maximum value at 560 and 561 nm, and these showed the violet color in solid state. Co(HPANT)2 and Cr(HPANT)2 showed similar absorption spectrum with a commercial violet Pigment called Pigment Violet 23. Also in pyrazole derivatives, Co(HPAPMP)2 and Cr(HPAPMP)2 were exhibited UV-visible maximum value at 465 and 510 nm, and these provided the brown and red color in solid state. Cr(HPAPMP)2 showed similar absorption spectrum with a commercial red pigment called Pigment Red 177. All these compounds exhibited better clear colors based on higher molar extinction coefficient value compared to the commercial pigments. |
