제목 Extraction of ω-3 Poly Unsaturated Fatty Acids and Phospholipids from Antarctic Krill with Supercritical Carbon Dioxide and Ethanol
초록 Extraction of ω-3 poly unsaturated fatty acids and phospholipids from Antarctic krill was performed with supercritical carbon dioxide and ethanol. Antarctic krill contains much more content of phospholipids combined with ω-3 poly unsaturated fatty acids than other marine and aquatic animals. Combined with phospholipids, ω-3 poly unsaturated fatty acids, which are abundant in krill, can be absorbed into human body much faster, and perform a physiological function much better. And from this figure of combination with phospholipids, it becomes possible to extract ω-3 poly unsaturated fatty acids selectively.
The experiment consists of two steps. At the first step, only neutral lipids, which are unnecessary, are removed by extraction using supercritical carbon dioxide only. And then, at the second step, ω-3 poly unsaturated fatty acids and phospholipids are extracted from krill residue by ethanol as a co-solvent with supercritical carbon dioxide.
After the experiments, the contents of ω-3 poly unsaturated fatty acids and phospholipids in extracted krill oil were analyzed by gas chromatography and acetone insolubility, respectively.
