제목 Development of chemically stable stainless  steel electrode for DSSCs using carbon black and 3D epoxy polymer
초록 The Pt counter electrodes coated on FTO, usually used electrodes in DSSCs have a corrosion problem by electrolytes containing iodide. In this study, we successfully solved the corrosion obstacles using carbon black nanoparticles (CB) connected by 3D network epoxy polymer. Using the excellent catalytic ability and chemical stability of CB, we fabricated dual layer counter electrode: conductive corrosion protective layer (CCPL) and catalytic layer (CL), the mixtures with different weight ratio of CB and epoxy polymer. The two layers were coated on the stainless steel (SS) substrate by spray process to substitute the Pt coated FTO. The coated SS substrate (CCPL/SS) haven’t corroded for 30 days in iodide containing electrolyte. Also the DSSCs with CL/CCPL/SS electrode showed as high performance (6.1 %) as DSSCs with Pt/FTO electrode (7.3%). This study will propose the method to replace the Pt coated FTO electrode for the development of stable, efficient and large area DSSCs.
