Microcapsules containing phase change materials(PCMs) were successfully prepared by in situ polymerization of melamine-formaldehyde as the shell material, n-octadecane as the core substance. Formic acid from oxidation of formaldehyde or weak acidic water due to CO2 in the air can affect the pH of solution so that we used buffer solution. In this study, microcapsules were synthesized using phosphate buffer and phosphate-citrate buffer as the pre-polymerization medium. And the encapsulation efficiency, shell yield, and size were analyzed. |
