Pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) were synthesized by solution polymerization of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, and glycidyl methacrylate with AIBN as an initiator. Graphite oxides (GOs) with epoxy groups were prepared by reacting GOs with epichlorohydrin. The incorporation of epoxy groups into PSAs and GOs for UV curing was evaluated with Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. The effect of content of epoxy-modified GOs on thermal stability of UV-cured PSAs was investigated with thermogravimetric analyzer. The adhesive characteristics of UV-cured PSAs containing epoxy-modified GOs were investigated in terms of peel strength, cohesiveness, and probe tack. |
