Restoration of damaged endothelium might be a well-built way to reduce late stent thrombosis and restenosis. Endothelial progenitor cell (EPC) can differentiate to endothelial cell and then facilitate re-endothelialization. Some groups have developed EPCs capture strategy using antibody (Ab) immobilization technologies for the restoration of endothelium. We focused on some CD as a target surface biomarker for late EPC capture. In this study, we demonstrated that anti-CD Ab-immobilized stent can capture late EPCs and restore damaged endothelium. Polydopamine coating onto cobalt-chromium (Co-Cr) surface was accomplished for antibody immobilization. Anti-CD Ab-immobilized surface was evaluated by immunofluorescence, FT-IR, and water contact angle. In addition, its surface was evaluated by an late EPC capturing assay. Our results exhibited that anti-CD Ab-immobilized Co-Cr captured significantly more late EPCs than bare Co-Cr and anti-CD34 Ab-immobilized surface. |
