제목 A study on additives for increasing the peeling resistance of asphalt mixture against water infiltration
초록 This study was conducted to investigate the effect of mixing of asphalt binder with preventive agent for liquid infiltration to reduce waterborne peeling of aggregate and asphalt on wet asphalt pavement. The anti-peeling agent was prepared by mixing dodecylamine, ethanol, and formamide. The solid asphalt binder (AP-5) was melted in an oven at 150°C and anti-peeling agent were added to the melted asphalt in the range of 0.5 ~ 5.0 wt.%. The water resistance behaviors of the asphalt/agent mixtures according to the mixing ratio was investigated in terms of extraction test at room temperature. The extraction amount from the asphalt-coated aggregate were weighed by a balance. The surface free energy of the asphalt/agent mixtures was measured by a sessile drop test. The values of the work-adhesion were calculated. It was found that anti-peeling agent enhanced the water resistance of the asphalt mixture and exhibited the highest water resistance at 2% of mixing ratio.
