Development of High Performance Organic Field-Effect Transistors with Bio-Derived Solvent-Processable Random Terpolymers |

Donor-acceptor (D-A) conjugated polymers based on diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) have been utilized as backbones for high-performance organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). Our group previously reported two ε-branched side chain substituted D-A polymers, PDPP-selenophene (Se) and PDPP-(E)-2-(2-(thiophen-2-yl)vinyl)thiophene (TVT), which exhibited different phys-ical properties. In this work, bio-derived solution-processable OFETs were realized using the set of diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP)-based random copolymers, by controlling irregularity of polymer backbone. The remarkable ambipolar charge mobilities were obtained from 2-methyltetrafuran-processed OFETs compared to chlorobenzene-processed ones. This study will provide guidelines for developing highly efficient green plastic transistors. |
