With the development of the industry, medical polymer materials have become increasingly popular. In particular, there are many studies on synthetic polymers. This is because synthetic polymers not only have properties such as non-toxicity, biostability, but also easy processing and can be easily controlled. Among them, PLGA, which is approved by US FDA, has been widely used in medical devices, because the rate of biodegradation is completely changed according to the ratio of monomers. Therefore, in this paper, biodegradation experiments of polymers with different monomer ratios were carried out in order to confirm the biodegradation characteristics of the polymers according to the ratio of monomers. As a result, the higher the ratio of the glycolide, the faster the biodegradation rate and the shorter the biodegradation time. Therefore, it is considered that the period of biodegradation rate of medical devices is controlled by the ratio of monomer of PLGA. |
