A New Automated Synthesis and Data Accumulation of High-Performance Nanocatalysts |

Diverse synthetic methods of active nanocatalysts have been developed for various heterogeneous catalytic reactions. However, obtaining high-quality nanocatalysts offering guaranteed performance, via reproducible and easily accessible routes anytime, anywhere, by anyone, remains a difficulty. Herein, we first report a reliable automatic system consisting of a well-designed computer program and an apparatus (AIO reactor system) in pilot stage. This system was used to prepare high-performance Ni and Co nanocatalysts and to accumulate the synthesis information related to variations of temperature and gas conditions. The optimized nanocatalysts by the AIO reactor system showed much higher activity and recyclability in the catalytic reduction reaction tests of 4-nitrophenol, than those of other conventional nanocatalysts due to the high and uniform particle dispersion with high metal loads. |
