Effects of silane treatment of carbon fibers on mechanical and interfacial properties of carbon fibers/NBR composites |
초록 |
The sizing treatment of PAN-based carbon fibers surfaces were carried out in order to improve the interfacial adhesion in the carbon fibers/NBR composites. The cross-section morphology of silane treated CFs/NBR composites were observed by SEM. The mechanical properties of the composites were investigated by tensile strength. The parameter to characterize the wetting performance and surface free energy of the silane treated fibers were determined using surface tensionmeter. As the experimental results, it was clearly revealed that the surface free energy of fibers did largely affect the mechanical behaviors of the composites |
