제목 | Porous activated carbons derived from ginkgo shell for CO2 adsorption |
초록 | Highly porous activated carbons were prepared by using KOH chemical activation of carbonized ginkgo shell. The effect of mixing mass ratios and activation temperature on the prepared activated carbons were investigated using several characterization methods such as TGA, XRD, SEM, and nitrogen adsorption analysis. In particular the low temperature nitrogen adsorption energy distribution function was employed to examine the relationship between the surface energetic heterogeneity and the prepared conditions. Carbon dioxide adsorption experiments on the prepared samples were conducted at room temperature ranging from 0 to 110 kPa in a volumetric adsorption apparatus. The measured adsorption equilibrium data were described using the Langmuir, Freundlich, Sips, and Toth equations. Moreover, carbon dioxide adsorption energy distributions were used to comparatively investigate the surface energetic heterogeneity properties of prepared samples. |
