제목 | Preparation and Comparison the Physical Properties of Bio-based Dry-polyurethane |
초록 | Several new bio-based materials have the potential to replace conventional petroleum-derived materials and monomers. Among them are natural isosorbide. Isosorbide is starch-derived monomer that exhibit a wide range of glass transition temperature and can be used in many applications. Polyurethane-urea (PUU) from polyether-polyol (PTMG), 4,4'-Methylene dicyclohexyl diisocyanate (H12MDI) and isosorbide (ISB) as chain extender were successfully synthesized. PUU obtained from isosorbide was compared to the PUUs using petroleum-derived diol. The result showed that the ISB-PUU exhibited enhanced tensile strength, biodegradability, transmittance and transparency compared to the existing diols.
