The polymeric nanomaterials hybridized with organic or inorganic materials have attracted a considerable attention. For preparing the polymeric nanohybrids, the various preparation methods such as miniemulsion, microemulsion and self-assembly of amphiphilic block copolymers are available for preparing the nanohybrids. In order to use these nano-materials for optical or electronic fields, their size distributions need to be uniform. The preparation of metallic nanoparticles embedded in the polymeric latexes isn’t feasible in oil-in-water miniemulsion system. In our case, the Au-nanoparticle-solution prepared by AOT microemulsion was adopted as a hydrophobe (a costabilizer) in miniemulsion. The well-defined Au/PS latexes were characterized by TEM and other instruments. |
